Two intertwined female monologues explore immigration: how much of our culture should we give up to try and fit into our country of adoption? Camille has moved to London from France but never cared about committing to the society that welcomed her. Only when problems arise with her baby does she realise our interdependence. Nayssam arrived in Paris with a suitcase full of books and dreams but had to face the reality of immigration and the fears of French people - including those of her best friend Julie. Torn between her Muslim heritage and her desire to fit into a new society that views religion with suspicion, she faces cultural misunderstandings leading to dangerous situations.
