Dotnetnuke skinning

Very good book. Good the book on time. Seller was excellent and delivery was prompt.

This Book Helped Me Alot

First off, I'm an utter "newbie" when it comes to web-design or development. This book opened the door for me when it comes to Skinning. I've since picked up a couple of books on HTML and CSS, and am on my way to building my own DNN Skins from scratch. This book helped me to modify the couple of skins I had, and "whetted my appetite" to dig deeper. Good info for "newbs", and a helpful resource if your an experienced web-designer wanting to gain a grasp of the "Skinning Engine" in DotNetNuke.

Stick with it

The first few chapters are painfully dry and appear to take you on a tour of DotNetNuke that you probably didn't want to take. Stick with it, you will find that the later parts of the book get practical and worth your time. The practical chapters are helpful, and will get you making your own skins very quickly.

Excellent How-To

Let's face it - you don't use DNN for its good looks. The book was a great way for me to learn all of the customization options for DNN so I could build a great looking site. The book has very believable practical examples and was glad to see a section about Silverlight. If you are new to DNN, buy it.
