Excellent read

This is a wonderful book about a humanitarian health worker who spent years working to train women to be community health volunteers in northern Afghanistan before the Taliban took over the region. At times hilarious and heartbreaking, this book brings to life a country many would just as soon forget about. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning about Afghanistan, especially Afghan women.
