Excellent book about what is happening in college today, especially in the HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities). Most Whites in America never experience what Harry Browne--the lead character in this novel--sees and goes through at an HBCU.Whites naively think the best of Blacks. This book offers a warts and all view of Blacks in action on their own turf. It's not the lovely integrationist picture that Whites want to believe is happening across the U.S.Nor do most Whites ever become targets of reverse racism and other kinds of discrimination that Harry, the novel's narrator, becomes the focus of.Turns out multiculturalism isn't inclusive. It's a cover for Black self-promotion.Great book. A true story that should be read by everyone who cares about education and race relations in America today.
