Continues where the DVD anime series ends...

This book continues from the anime series and explains how the band got the gig to play in America; how they argued about it, the trial and tribulations of actually making it to America, Koyuki and Maho's ability to NEVER hook up, and of course whether or not BECK will finally meet up with Ryusuke in America!!!! Like I said, if you've ever been in a band, dreamed of being in a band, or been a die-hard band groupie, the anime DVD series and this book series is for you!!!! By the way, Volume 13 is sold out at pretty much every anime website, so good luck finding it!!!

Can't Wait for Volume 13!

Volume Twelve continues the adventures of Koyuki and his Beck bandmates as the play gigs, dodge gangsters and try to win fans and fame in the Japan rock world. Start with Volume One, though -- the story won't make sense just jumping in at this point. Recommended for anyone who's ever been a teenager, written a song, played in a band, or just dreamed about it.

Worth Getting If You're a Fan of the Anime

I think the title says it pretty well. I picked this up because I watched the anime for the third time and I got a burning desire to see what happens after the show ends. This volume extends on the last volume. Koyuki tells Maho (rather briefly in my opinion) about what happened on their tour in the U.S. in the anime. Volume 12 of the manga starts to show how BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad got to tour in the U.S., how hard it is for them, and how they met back up with Ryusuke. This whole manga series is recommended to fans of the anime who want something a little more out of the series they couldn't find in the anime.
