Clarence the beaver thinks that he is a squirrel

This cute book for kids takes a look at a beaver who gets separated from his family. He ends up with a family of red squirrels who "came to love Clarence as one of their own." But Clarence seems to have a need to busily prepare a nest unlike any that the squirrels have ever seen before. As he busily collects sticks and gnaws down trees to make his "nest," his squirrel siblings see something over by the river that helps Clarence to learn that he is a beaver. Two families eventually come together in celebration. This is a great book about celebrating diffences and unconditional acceptance.
