this series gets better & better!

Most of the reviews were good for this 5th book in the Pride series, but it always worries me a little when I read a couple of reviews that aren't so positive....but I loved this one! This series just gets better & better with each book. Each book does stand on it's own, no crazy cliff hangers, waiting for the next book to come out - thank goodness!! But it is best to read in order if possible. I love SL's writing - these are fun, fast sexy books, that I'd consider more of a lite read....which was just what I needed after reading a much darker, deeper series. I'm so glad to know when I pick a book by S. Laurenston, or GA Aiken(as she calls herself for the Dragon Kin series) that I'm definitely going to laugh out loud, and love the couple she brings together. It's just a sure bet when I pick up one of her books.

Shelly never disappoints!!

Shelly Laurenston, (AKA G A Aiken), is 1 of the best storytellers & her books never disappoint. The humor, character relationships & story plots are incredibly well done. Every book consistently great! Shelly has a very keen eye, smooth writing style & such a great sense of fun/funny. There are never any dragging moments that compel you to skip ahead to the next paragraph or page. I waited anxiously for this book, have had it about a week & already reading it for the 2nd time. All her books are great fun to read again & again. Now I'm waiting for the Sept release of her next G A Aiken book - Last Dragon Standing. WELL DONE SHELLY!!!!!!!!

My Favorite in the Series so Far

This is a must read. Let me begin by saying that just about anything written by Shelly Laurenston (a.k.a. G.A. Aiken) is paranormal romance gold. She has her own voice and particular style. Don't expect super serious, dramatic, brooding heroes. Do expect characters that are strong, likable, snarky, sarcastic, memorable, and completely captivating. Her books are full of them, and I have not been dissapointed by any of them so far. This premise for the series is the lives and adventures of shifters and it's set in a present-day northeastern United States. Beasts Behaving Badly is a highlight in an already awesome series. What makes the book so good, in my opinion, is Blayne. The leading lady in this story is something special. Charismatic, flighty, strong, disorganized, and completely adorable, she carries the story on her capable wolfdog shoulders. We know Blayne from past novels, particularly the Mane Squeeze, as Gwen's best friend and wild wolfdog extraordinaire. Everybody loves her, and she loves just about everyone. It is a lot of fun to see her win over Bo, who in a lot of ways is her complete opposite. Rude, loner, surly, self centered, and having strong OCD, Bo is a challenge for Blayne and everyone else who deals with him. But the two of them have an explosive chemistry that simply makes the book sizzle. In fact, with all his issues, he wins the readers over pretty quickly. You can't help but fall in love with the compulsively organized yet hunky tyrant. And the truth is that Blayne does need stability in her life, a challenge in itself which Bo is more than up for once he makes up his mind to do so. These two are both larger than life on the page. The story moves quickly and keeps the reader's interest from the beginning, however the strength in Laurenston's books are definitely her characters. They seem real, in all their wonderful weirdness. You want to know what happens to them, you care about them, and you don't want to put the book down until they get their happy ending. Besides the two outstanding leads in Beasts Behaving Badly, we also get to see many of the characters from previous books who we know and love. This was a treat. We see a lot of Dee Ann and Ulrich as well, leading me to believe they will get a book of their own soon. There are many other characters mentioned here that could be potential future stories to the series and they are all wonderful and interesting in their own right. This series is a must read, consistently delivering good paranormal romance stories to its fans. What's even more amazing is that it has as much potential and promise now as when it began, the stories are still great and I really hope the author keeps writing more of these for a very long time. New readers will not be dissapointed by Laurenston. Older fans will love Blayne's story. How can they not? It IS Blayne after all! On a final note, I have to admit that even my husband likes these books, and he is NOT a

A number 1 hit as always

I Love it!!!, I bow down to her writing she rocks!, I have never seen a writer where all races find love, i'm black and my husband is white, and he is not a reader of books, but he loves her books, we literally fight over her books, so I have to buy 2, I picked up Pack Challange and I laughed so hard and I couldn't put the book down until I finished it, and I have been hooked since, I have bought all of her books, and I have been like a crack-head waiting for the next one, so as far as i'm concerned, you Mrs. Laurenston write the books and you have 2 faithful readers to buy them.
