Weirsbe is always super!

The "Be" series is very helpful and Dr. Weirsbe has great insight into the Word of God and is great at applying the word to everyday life.

Excellent Study On Abraham

"Be Obedient" focuses on the life of Abraham and how we can learn to live by faith and trust in God for provision, protection, and guidance. Wiersbe covers many periods of Abraham's life: 1. Leaving the familiar surroundings of Ur. 2. Having sons with Sarah and Hagar. 3. Interactions with his nephew Lot. 4. Obeying God to the point of being willing to sacrifice his precious son Isaac. 5. Finding a suitable wife for Isaac. Both Abraham's successes and failures are covered in the book and Wiersbe suggests several ways on how we may learn from Abraham's life. An excellent read. Enjoy and be encouraged. Recommended.

Typical Warren Wiersbe

Be Basic is typical of most of the work of Warren Wiersbe, one of the giants of our faith. Excellent content that shows his vast knowledge of and familiarity with the Scriptures and the common history of the times that is not included in the Scriptures. He presents his knowledge in a familiar and friendly style that shows a special regard for the readers who are not so knowledgeable, and might be intimidated by a more academic approach. A friend and I are using this series as course material for a weekly chapter-by-chapter through the bible study. We both enjoy his books immensely.
