Shot Down, crashed, and lost at sea; Day by Day Fattle of Britain

This is a wonderful book! for folks like me; battle detail buffs. This is a near encyclopedic compendium [redundancy!] of Aviation Combat over Britain during the German aerial onslaught during the summer/fall of 1940. The meat of the matter is a day by day summary of combat with citations of each aircraft shot down, crashed and otherwise negatively affected; data controlled for the usual overstatement of victories. if you want to understand this battle, you must read this book. i know of nothing else like it for any other battle/campaign. highly recommended for the non-casual buff.
