Hits the nail right on the head

I am a newcomer to woodworking with the objective of soon building my first of several (I hope) pieces of furniture. Dick Burrows' book "Basic Woodworking Techniques" is the best place to start. Using down to earth language, personal comments and very good pictures and diagrams, the book brings you through the basic tools and joinery techniques. I strongly recommend it.
