Basal Implants

Implant therapy evolved to overcome with a different design and protocol to rehabilitate the atrophic jaws which are known as Basal Endosseous Dental Implants. Basal implants are designed such that the anchorage is mainly gained from the basal cortical bones. Basal bone offers an excellent support to these implants because it is densely cortical in nature, and offers greater load bearing capacity when compared to conventional root form implants. These implants have undergone through several changes and modifications in the design from disk form-implants to compression screw form implants. The modern basal implants have a simple design, surgical protocol and prosthetic friendly system.
