Tried other Spanish books and not learned?

This Barron's book with CD's is just as good as attending Spanish class. Everything you read is also present on the CD's. It focuses on having you speak Spanish by repeating lines or answering questions with the CDs. The book also contains a phonetic spelling of everything that is said, which I didn't use often because it takes some skill to read these phonetic symbols. But if you were alone with the book and not the CDs these spellings could allow you to proceed. There is also a volume 2 book with CDs.
