Bor-ing!

Although the title is engaging, the book itself is dull. There are three sections: “Family”; “Animals”; and “Life”. The quality of the writing is mediocre. “Family” had occasional noteworthy observations, but not frequent enough to merit reading in full. “Animals” was more amusing, but became boring, too. Skimming through “Life” wasn’t worth the time to read it. These were from the author’s column in The Philadelphia Inquirer. Frankly, I’m surprised that the paper saw enough in them to maintain the column. Maybe I have become spoiled from reading many engaging books, but this one was not one.

Buy The Book!

After reading Marley & Me and seeing the movie, I couldn't get enough. I bought Bad Dogs immediately after Christmas and finished it in no time. The book contains articles published in the Philadelphia Inquirer that were written by John Grogan. As usual he is keenly observant, funny, and informative. I just love not only what he writes but also the way he says it. There are messages here for everyone, not only dog lovers. If you enjoyed Marley & Me, and you'd be crazy not to, you'll want to buy this book. It's not just about dogs.

Bad Dogs Really DO Have more Fun!

I got this book as a birthday gift and absolutely loved it! I don't have much time to read, so it was great to be able to pick it up and read just a few columns at a time. So many of the columns were things I had thought about before, and I found them hysterical. One of my personal favorites is "Phones Driving us to Distraction." John Grogan writes about the things we all think about and don't ever say - this book exposes them all with humor, intelligence, affection and emotion.

I Highly Recommend This Book

I for one am not concerned with the political back story behind the publishing of Bad Dogs Have More Fun. I picked up this book after seeing the adorable cover, and I've had my head stuck in it ever since! This book is such an eclectic mix of stories and ideas. Some parts literally made me cry and others made me cry tears of laughter! Most of all, it is a great book to read with others, and is definitely something to share with family and friends.

Good book and good cause

A great, fun collection of articles, and the best part is that a portion of the proceeds goes to a fantastic charity- The Good Dog Foundation. How can a true dog lover argue against that?
