Dr. Sigismund Bacstrom (circa 1750-1805), born in Scandinavia, was a physician, alchemist, and Rosicrucian. In 1794 he was initiated into the Societas Rosae Crucis by Comte Louis de Chazal, an occultist and alchemist.
