The good thing about gardening is, it rarely changes. Even though the book is very old, the tools and techniques are timeless. This book is organized very well. It speaks about the benefits of each crop, how to select the correct variety, how to grow, and how to market. It's very easy to apply everything in modern-day fashion. I gave this book to a friend who works for himself, but only seems to scrape by most of the time. He details cars, plays guitar, writes music, and spends the rest of his time in various non-wealth building activities. This may give him focus on something which can make him money and will take attention when he can spare it--even in the rain. This may be the extra boost needed to go from barely making it to being happy and completely self-reliant.
