Baby Einstein - El juego de las formas

Great book for kids to start using there imagination. All shapes in this book come out and are easy to put back in. Great pictures and good book for learning. Not matter how many times your kid drops this book it will stay in one piece!

A favorite for my 21 month old

We have had this book for over a year, and at first I kept it put away because my daughter didn't have a desire to match up any shapes, just chew them. At around 18 months we brought it out again and now she loves it. She can say many names of the shapes and loves to match them back to their spot. The shapes were difficult to remove at first but are broken in now. It is the 'toy' that holds her attention the longest right now.

Great book and yummy too

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 18 months old and and within a month she could name every shape in it -- she loved this book. Now her younger brother, at 20 months, loves it too. While he can't pronounce most of the shapes, he can point them all out when asked. However, I need to buy my son his own copy, as his sister loved this book so much she couldn't help chewing up several of the pieces, so needless to say, they don't fit so well anymore.

more of the same?

My 17 month old daughter loves this book, playing with it literally for hours at a time. We would love to get her the same type of book, with different scenes / themes. Does anyone know if there are any more like this out there? Because I cannot find any!

My son's favorite!

This book is, without a doubt, my 22-month-old son's favorite book! He calls it "Triangle Book," and he insists on playing with it at least once a day. He likes to take out all the shapes and line them up on our couch and then get me to help him put them back. Yes, the shapes are slightly difficult to replace, but it forces me to play with him (not try to cook, clean, etc...) while helping him and talking to him about the shapes and colors. As a proud parent, I have to brag that my son can identify triangles, circles, rectangles, and squares. At 22 months! And he's been doing it now for some time. He even points out circles--the letter "o"--on signs when we're out shopping! He'll say, "Circle! Circle!" and sure enough there will be something in the vacinity shaped like a circle. Last week he was lying on the floor in our kitchen pointing to the squares on the linoleum and sayingk "Squares, squares," until I validated that they were squares. I think a big part of his ability to do this comes from him playing with this book regularly. I am buying a second copy because the first one is pretty ragged from being used so often! One caution--I caught my son with one of the shapes in his mouth a couple of months ago, so I now supervise him anytime he's playing with it. It is recommended for ages two and up, so...
