What a disappointment.

It took longer than promised to arrive and was I ever disappointed. I expected actual patterns that I could create some cute dolls from. I do not want to photo copy tiny pictures to make them, after much trial and error, fit a doll. Do not buy unless you have plenty of time to fool around trying to successfully make a doll. I have been making dolls and stuffed animals for 50+ years with much succes and I was looking for some alternatives in this book. Nope,,,

Fantastic

This is my favorite book! The instructions are very clear, the designs are so cute! It inspires you to make the dolls your very own from the start. I have learned so much about making soft dolls, and just general sewing! A must have.

A Beautiful book

If I had read some of the other reviews before I bought this book, I wouldn't have bought it. I'm glad that I did. Even if I never make a one of them, it's gorgeous to look at. The dolls come in different sizes and positions, and the clothes are fabulous. Yes, as one reviewer noted, sometimes the blush is not on the apples of the cheeks, but below, but the dolls are still amazingly adorable. I also found their faces very cute. I can't put this book down. It also contains tiny infants, babies crawling on all fours, and many stuffed animals to accompany your doll. There is also a chapter on making cloth books. You get a lot for the money! She shows white, black, Asian, and even an Indian doll, complete with a chamois leather beaded outfit. Gorgeous! My only complaint is that there is a black doll on the cover wearing a knitted wig and the instructions for it are not in the book. Other than that, an excellent book for a great price.

Such sweet little dolls!

I love the dolls in this book! There is a pattern, but it is loose enough to allow much of the design to be left up to your imagination. I made the cutest little mommy and baby dolls for my 2 month old son for Christmas. He loves to stare at them and tries to reach for them. I will definitely be making more! Even though I am adult, I love to hold the supersoft dolls as well!

Charming cloth dolls.

The dolls in this book all look a very similar style to each other; but it is one very charming and sweet style of doll. Big soft knit-cloth baby dolls with yarn hair and simple faces. Perfect baby doll for children and adults. With clothing patterns.
