Ms. Canizares is one of my favorite authors and I am grateful for her book that demonstrates the many ways a baby can get around, including baby carriers. This book is diverse; babies from all over the world are pictured with their families. My children really like reading this book but I have a slightly different take on it. Although the cover led me to think that the book was about babywearing, it is essentially about babies getting around in many ways. It shows babies in strollers, sleds, baby carriers and more. There are some wonderful pictures of babies in multicolored carriers including a wrap and the cover picture which looks like a Podegi or Mai Tai style carrier embellished with beautiful beads. I wish that there were some American babies in the more cultural carriers because my children are carried in them and in this book all of the babies in these carriers are from third world countries. All in all this is a great addition to our library!
