By bridging the gap between diving head first into the dating pool or kissing dating goodbye, Hayley and Michael tackle the seven most important things every teen should know before their next date. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I recently led a small group discussion about dating with 9th grade girls, and bought this book as a reference. I liked the way it was layed out by covering the seven steps. I also liked that it didn't just tell the readers how or whom they should date, but it led them through the steps, encouraging them take certain things into consideration and make the best decision possible. I thought the "text speak" title was a bit cheesey, and there are examples of the same type of thing throughout the book. Also, there's one Q and A where a girl asks about a dream in which she married a Jonas brother and asked if it could be a sign from God. I don't think most teens would take any situation like that as a sign from God, so it's not very applicable to many readers and I don't know why it was included. I am putting this book in our church's youth library and highly recommending it to all the members of our youth group.
GREAT!

The writers really get it. Easy to read but plenty of content. Have your teen read before they start dating for best results. Still good even if they have already started dating. Talk about it chapter by chapter. My son and I have weekly dates where we talk about "life". Where was this book when I was 15? Brillant!
