Talen ain Bahikhya, a Rekonatah dragon from another world, sought to find meaning and direction in his life after his initial adjustment to being mysteriously transitioned to an Earth occupied by humans. He turned to his best element the sea, with the intention to see the world and feel its circumference, mile by mile. He was to follow the trades with no hurries and no worries.
That is when Azhikham the Seabird; an eighty year old, refurbished forty-four foot wooden gaff-rigged ketch, came into his life. As his faithful companion, she carried him from Long Beach California to Hawaii, the Pacific Islands, Australasia, the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the North Sea, the straits of Magellan, the Southern Ocean, New Zealand, Japan, the Aleutians, and down the Pacific Northwest to complete the journey.
On the way he learned many different languages and cultures, experienced the best and worst of humanity, and made some life-long friends.
One friend in particular, a young woman on a similar journey, would change the course of his life and not only bring him happiness, but love and a sense of belonging somewhere in this world.
