This book covers a great many aspects of Ayurveda in quite a lot of depth, including relatively advanced topics such as Pancha Karma and one of my personal favorite therapies, sweating. I really love the book for this reason, and also for the very wise, loving, earth-based and non-dogmatic tone of the author. I do agree with the comment that the content could be more organized, but the book is so excellent that I'm happy to overlook that point. However, I would not recommend this book as an introduction to Ayurveda to anyone who doesn't have a serious background in alternative health, especially if they're just looking for a few simple techniques to practice at home.
Maya Tiwari writes like Hindu Godess of Wisdom.

I started reading this book along with the original scripture on Ayurveda. I stopped reading the scripture when I realised that this book is authentic repoduction of sashtra (scripture). Maya Tiwari is highly meticulous and writes in lucid langauge. She writes like Hindu Godess Saraswati (Godess of Wisdom). This book is a must for all those who think Allopathy is a joke.
