The Wellness-Recovery Connection: Charting Your Pathway to Optimal Health While Recovering from Alcoholism and Drug Addiction I recently attended a presentation by the author at a counseling skills conference, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading his book "Awakening to Mindfulness". Writing from the heart, Dr. Fields provides an insightful, easy to understand treatise on mindfulness and its applications in our day to day lives. I particularly enjoyed his discussion of basic Buddhist principles in the first section of the book. This book is a great read for anyone who wants to awaken to the now and learn more about the important topic of mindfulness.
