a mature, a grown man's Catcher In The Rye...

i don't know WHY this book wasn't a best seller, optioned for a screenplay and made into a hit movie 20 years ago - every man should read this book as a guidemap to sorting out his own inner self, emotional and sexual life and needs and longings - heck, every adult would love this book - i read it nonstop on a saturday when it first came out - and still remember being as affected as i've ever been by anything - a book, music, movie -

The best book I've ever read.

I can offer no greater enticement for a book other than that I have given it to all of my friends and "forced" them to read it. It is touching, sentintimental, and at the same time richly funny; all in the same way that real life is. It contains all the wisdom of self combined with that of a best friend, harshly honest and thought provoking. I'm sure everyone will find a great deal of themselves in it. I can't wait until it circulates back to me so that I may read it once again.

How refreshing and exciting to be able to peek inside a man's mind, heart, and soul for an honest and uncensored look at how he REALLY feels about love, sex, relationships, and desire. I'll read this one again, something I've never done with any other book. I can't help myself -- I've fallen in love with this guy! I'll be looking forward to more from this author
