A 2009 Chartwell Books release, it's a enchanting photo-tour of SOME of the highlights of Australia. And it's only $9.98! After a brief, general introduction, the authors examine the various regions of Australia beginning with Western Australia, the Northern Territories, Queensland, New South Wales, etc. Various attractions in each region/territory are depicted in glorious full-color photographs, some of which are two-page spreads. Among the images found in AUSTRALIA, A PANORMAIC VIEW are Uluru, the Sydney Opera House, sunset at Broome beach, the Remarkable Rocks, koalas, the Great Barrier Reef, Cradle Mountain, the Twelve Sisters, Aboriginal dancers, Sydney's waterfront (one of those two-page spreads!), a Rainbow python, the Blue Mountains, the Australian War Memorial at Canberra, the Little Sahara Desert, the Perth skyline and much, much more. Though the book runs to 256 pages, it really is an introduction to the many wonderful sights and experiences Australia offers. (And yes, I've been there!)
