This book is a wonderful addition to any children's library. It is very well written and contains many educational and comical (yet still educational) details about the various careers of Ancient Greece. I would reccomend this book to parents or teachers who are looking for an educational read in the topics of history or career study. The book details twelve different careers that an ancient Grecian may have taken part in. Some of the careers in this book are: Politician, Hoplite, Spartan, and Farmer. There are large print sections that are easier to read for younger readers and there are also smaller "Did you Know?" sections, "sub-sections" that contain key information, and "Advertisements" that offer a greater insight to specific key parts of the careers in this book. The book also features a full glossary and a listing of the Greek numerals. The full color illustrations offer artistic impressions of the actual careers as well as a little bit of comic humor in the smaller sub-sections of the page.
