At Home in the World

A very uplifting book, with down-to-earth practical suggestions. Not difficult reading, but thought-provoking ideas.

Benedict would be proud

I received the book as an ordination gift and immediately knew I would have to use it in a small group study setting. The book is easy-to-read, but deeply thought-provoking. Guenther explains the fundamentals of a rule of life and why we need them. Each chapter has questions to help you journal or to spur on conversation. In our group, we wrote rules for ourselves or are in the process of writing them. One member realized that the process could be used for organizations as well as individuals and plans to use it that way. This book is a gem for anyone contemplating how to better their relationship with God, with the people around them, and the creation as well.
