Bustin' Bits on Bare Metal... Norton Style

Peter Norton's introductory assembly language book was one of the first books I picked up that let me see under the hood of my system, going light-years beyond the C:\ prompt. This book still has its uses, for anyone wanted to start a little lower than C/C++/Java, yet not completely getting off the programming track. Interesting challenges are throughout, with mini-Norton Utilities constructed with the provided examples. While most new Assembly programmers would rather skip the having to build your own utilities, this book gives you the opportunity... and the chance to make it better. Buy it if assembly programming has gotten into your blood.
