Definitely reading again

So I have not finished the book yet but I can already say that the book isn't accurate on some things since I've played the game. it's fairly accurate though. But I still love it can't wait to finish it. I love Ezio so much and I'm excited to read his trilogy. But I wish Bowden would have kept the iconic dialogue the same though

Love The Historical Drama!

I am not much of a gamer aside from the Final Fantasy old school set and RPGs of that type. However, I watched my brother play and beat the first game and watched him here and there as he played and beat the second, so needless to say I was already intrigued. When I saw the book while browsing the shelves at Walmart for the hell of it, I impulsively chose to buy it and immediately began reading. The book was my avid companion during my long roadtrip up to Canada this past week and I must say I am sad to have finished it, I'm hungry for more! The historical elements were beautifully done and being a lover of ancient to Renaissance civilizations, the fact this aspect was kept true really pleased me. The drama and the development of Ezio from a wayward youth into a professional harbinger of justice was well-depicted in my opinion and I felt myself able to relate to some of his struggles while reading his story. I was also quite pleased to be able to read a book that actually had Latin and Italian phrases throughout, being the linguist that I am. The plot was better than a lot of what I've seen in recent years, and I say this from a writer's point of view. The overall theme and backbone for the series is quite brilliant I think and I would be very happy to see them continue writing books based off the games for those who may never play them. Trust me that if they do write more, you can bet I'll be one of the first to purchase a copy!

excellent read

I enjoyed the book greatly. Didn't know it was game, never heard of the author, hope it is a series though. Can't wait to read what happens to Ezio next.

4 Stars, that's pretty good.

Just started the book a couple of nights ago, and I'm really enjoying it. It's not the greatest book ever printed, but it's enough to lose yourself for a while.

A good read, highly underrated.

I just finished the entire book and thoroughly enjoyed it. At first, my opinion was a little mixed because of how close the novel followed the game: sometimes down to exact quotations. But ultimately I enjoyed the rendering. The author also included the "bonus chapters" of the game with nearly stunning accuracy. My only real complaint is that the author specifically left out the "modern day" portion of the story of the game. It made the novel as a whole easier to understand, and appreciate Ezio`s story, but I was dissappointed. However, I was overall pleased, and would recommend picking it up.

Good book

A book that is fairly accurate to its source material as well as being a good read. It will make you feel as though you are in the world of Ezio Auditore and the Assassins.
