Collection of critical and analytical essays regarding Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book contains a wide range of essays about Lewis carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" Some of them are badly dated, but are nonetheless useful as a way of tracing the development of how we see both Alice and her author. Others are less valuable. As the book dates from 1977, some of the essays which were recent at the time of publication, now don't seem to be saying much, and might well be removed to make way for more modern commentaries. I would like to see a new and revised version of this book. Meanwhile it is still an essential volume for any library concerned with children's literature.
