On the outskirts the Chathaonach mountains lies the village of Magredan. Baihuine has spent nearly all of her life in its isolation. Cut off from the rest of the village, save her friend Matine, she has grown into a formidable fighter. Her skill with both blade and bow is unmatched throughout the village. She keeps to herself and enjoys the company of her horse over most of the villagers. Over the course of a few short days, Baihuine finds herself thrust into the middle of a conflict that has been brewing for generations. They lead her and her best friend, Matine, on an adventure where she is not only mentally assaulted by Jaydian, but she meets the king and queen of the elves, the last contingent of free men, the next generation of dwarves, and the only remaining dragons. At every corner, Baiuhine is challenged by what she knows and what she learns. Battles will be fought. Lives will be upended. Through it all, Baihuine must make a decision. Will she return to her life in Magredan and quietly live out her existence? Or will she take up her sword and lead them into battle?
