Watson transports you to a different time and place

Oh dang. Larry Watson hitting me in my feels again. One of the very few authors who makes me feel a sense of time and place. Of the brokenness and humanness of people. Beverly - the neighbor. I loved her. She and Calvin - the dialogue between made me smile big.
