It sure makes me hungry for love...and apple pie!

Reader Review of: "As American As Apple Pie" Four Contemporary Novellas Served With a Slice of Americana An Apple A Day by Andrea Boeshaar Sweet as Apple Pie by Kristin Billerbeck Apple Annie by Joyce Livingston Apple Pie in Your Eye by Gail Sattler General Rating is 4.0 stars out of 5 General Review: The book was refreshing. I am an avid inspirational romance reader, although lately, I haven't found time to read a lot. This book caught my eye when I was visiting the Barbour Books Publishing website. I was scanning for good romance novellas to read, and this was one book that I was looking forward to reading. I got it over the week and read it in a day and a half. It's such an easy read. Elderly-friendly with larger fonts. The stories are somewhat comedic and the characters are lovable. So why am I giving it a four stars instead of a 5, especially if I couldn't put it down? Probably because I'm too cynical to believe in whirlwind romances and sudden proposals. But for the Christian romantic at heart, this book will most probably sweep you off your feet. What I liked Most: Apple Pie! This book made me hungry, as I miss my apple pie. I wish I was back in Florida so that I can have more apple pies! Love...nothing like filling your day with love, even if it's a fictional love that most women dream about. What I disliked the Most: Stubborn attitudes of several characters, impossible whirlwind romances Novella Reviews: 1. An Apple A Day by Andrea Boeshaar Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Review: The characters are stubborn, and I love them! I am a registered nurse, and I found it hard to believe that Dr. Coridan didn't believe in the effects of food supplements and vitamins. He totally discounted them. I've also met people like Talia Fountain who only believe in natural supplements. I am both a believer of traditional and natural healing. At the end, I'm glad that they had a compromise regarding their beliefs about medicine and healing. What I love about their romance is that it didn't happen suddenly. I understand instant attraction. I like how they fought their attraction with each other. It made the love affair more interesting. 2. Sweet as Apple Pie by Kristin Billerbeck Rating: 4 out of 5 Review: I fairly liked the story. It's most probably because there were too much secrets about Adam Harper. Kayli was too determined and too proud to admit that she needs help and that she's attracted to the man. Plus, she gave up too easily. I've always thought woman fight for whomever they love. Maybe not all women. I didn't like Andrea at all, too. She was a vicious woman and she was doing all the seduction and chasing for the wrong reasons. One thing I didn't understand, too, is that all the secrecy about Rachel. The proposal was good, though. Just like that Bible verse wherein it says that a man will leave father and mother and cling to his wife, although Adam didn't leave any parents behind, he left the town he loved the most to be with the

4 Charming and Witty tales

Each of these stories are quite unique in their tales, although quite predictable, as most love stories are, they are very heartwarming. Also as a bonus at the end of each story there is a recipe for apple pie. As each girl faces trials, it all comes together in the end. Apple pies play a major role in the course of each love story... Like its said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. I will probably read this again and would reccomend it for a simple and quick, but delightful read.

EACH AUTHOR'S FAVORITE APPLE PIE TOPS OFF THE END OF TALE

These are fiesty, humorous stories of true Christian women and men who find romance in a way not thought of as they might. I loved each novella and recommend them to you to read. The delightful way in which the authors write out their most beloved recipes for the most famous of all American desserts "apple pie" is so quaint - and delicious!
