Great book!

In James Michael Pratt's newest book, I have discovered a truth, that I need to daily escape from the busyness of this fast-paced life, and take time to focus on what is important. In the thoughts of my own heart, I am connected with my Creator. I need to get centered, and tune in to these thoughts, which not only guide me to a more peaceful state, but shape my life into what I was created and intended to be. How can one book influence me so profoundly? How can words on a page affect how I live my life? It is the truth that James revealed, woven as threads of a well-written tale, that touched my heart and reminded me to return to a simpler life. I was also pleased to find James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh", which inspired James Michael Pratt's book, included in this publication.

A Good Read!

"Rarely do we see this generation take time to ponder upon the gentle arts, the beauty of God's creations, the magnificence of a human life as a being of infinite worth and intelligence." With thoughts like these, this book is a great reminder for us to step back and look at all we have to be grateful for. The description of Ilfracombe, England made me feel like I was there! Thanks for a beautiful and thought provoking read. My flight to Singapore went by fast while reading this book...and that is not easy to do!

A Treasure

I agree with the quote from As A Man Thinketh..." the soul attracts that what it secretly harbors,. I believe that JP has struck a harmonious chord with this book. It has made me think and ponder more that I have in quite awhile. We do not ponder enough nor do we give heed to what our deepest desires are. The knowledge of who I am comes from within my soul- and as Wordsworth so eloquently stated... The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star, Hath had elsewhere its setting, And cometh from afar: Not in entire forgetfulness, And not in utter nakedness, But trailing clouds of glory do we come From God, who is our home: Heaven lies about us in our infancy! This book makes me wonder and think. Good work!

As A Man Thinketh In His Heart

I found this book to be very fun, entertaining and thought provoking. I had a hard time putting it down as I wanted to know what was going to happen next. One of best written by James M Pratt, and I've read them all.

James Pratt has done it again! This is a great book!

My wife and I have read many of James Pratt's novels--The Last Velentine, Ticket Home, Paradise Bay--and we couldn't put them down! James' writing is warm, entertaining, highly insprational and really tugs at your heart strings. We love his books! So, when we learned that he had actually written the sequel to the 100-year-old classic "As a Man Thinketh," we couldn't wait to get our hands on it--and we weren't disappointed! Get ready for an exciting journey that starts in the Eastern U.S. and then travels "across the pond" to Ilfracombe, England--the place where James Allen wrote his book 100 years ago! Filled with mystery, intrigue, ghosts, time travel, and of course James' wonderful story-telling, you won't want to put this one down. The great thing about this book is that it's also filled with powerful principles and wisdom that we desperately need in this stressed-out, information-overload, life-at-light-speed society we live in. If you want to know how to find peace, joy and success in your life, this book contains the secrets. In fact, As a Man Thinketh in His Heart reminded me of many of Og Mandino's books. It looks like James Pratt is filling in where Og left off! Thanks for another great read!
