This tenascious and contrary little fish leads his friends on a merry chase here and there and back, again. In doing so, they all learn a valuable lesson.

a great book

we read this book over and over when we were kids. I didn't realize that it was not only out of print but so popular! I'd love to find a copy that's reasonably priced so I can share this great story with my daughter.

Arty the Smarty is a wonderful childerns book!

This childerns book is a wonderful delight for any age! My father couldn't get my sister to put it down ,although it's lost now ,we yet to find it again . A wonderful children's book that will inspire any age!

When I was a child, this was my favorite book. Arty the Smarty was my hero- After thirty years and living in a "business world", I still think of Arty when times are tough... Like Arty, I too can make splashes as big as the other fish!

Arty the Smarty is a delightful tale of a small fish who prides himself in outsmarting his enemies, even Mean Ol Crab! A must for parents who want to teach their children that even the smallest being can have a BIG impact. My Grandfather wore out the binding reading this story to my cousin and I.
