Awesome Underwear

One day, Arthur worries about going to school without pants. He goes to sleep in his pants. Arthur thinks he lost his pants in his dream. Arthur dreams he went to school in his underwear. My favorite part is when Buster dreams he forgets his pants. I recommend you read this book because it is very funny.

There's Something About Young Kids & Underwear - a review of "Arthur's Underwear"

Here's an Arthur book that deals with public embarrassment, and as a mom I think there are a number of points that can be made while reading this book. The story begins with Binky ripping his pants in front of the entire class. Pretty much as one would expect the children fail to show much sympathy. Instead they all begin laughing at poor Binky's misfortune. That this is not the proper attitude to have is demonstrated by Arthur's reaction to the incident: he begins to dream about a similar experience happening to him. In fact, a good portion of the book is Arthur's dreams and his attempts to stop them. The whole matter comes to a head when Arthur actually rips his pants pocket in the cafeteria. The children do all laugh, but guess who comes to Arthur's rescue... none other than Binky who has already experienced the downsides of such accidents. He is the only one sympathetic to Arthur; and isn't there a lesson there. Four Stars. Several good lessons in this book, including 'do unto others...'. Good read-aloud. The book we are looking at - which was published in 1999 - has the newer drawings of Arthur where he looks less like an aardvark.

This is a great book

This a great book, it shows that everyone gets embarrased. Ever if it is as bad a not haveing any pants on.

Great story for those 3-5 year olds!

This is a typical Arthur the Aardvark story with a lesson to be learned in a fun way. It is the perfect book for the 3-5 year old who is in the stage of talking about underwear (as they all seem to do at some point!).
