not as good as I have hoped

This book is a little dated and the ideas in it are not as artistic as I had hoped. Most of them are more like projects a teacher would do in a regular classroom rather than as an art project with literacy connections. The pictures are not great either

Visual Literacy and Art

This is a great book for a jumping off point for those of us who use children's lierature in many of our art lessons. The children are usually familiar with the books so it gives them another way to look at literature beyond the library and academic classroom. It is a valuable book for my program.
