A Whole New Dimension

I bought this book for my art history class and I absolutely love it! The book taught me many great things about the art pieces all around the world. It is like a whole new dimension of life that I have never experienced before! I wish one day I can see some art pieces in person to actually get a better sense of the art itself. I recommend this book to those who love art and who wants a better understanding from art of the past!

A very useful, well-organized, and thought-provoking book; it goes beyond being a college text to a handy reference for any art lover. Each topic is covered with two to four pages and often shows modern references to ancient style. Topics range from Paleolithic Paintings to the Great Pyramids, specific artists, styles and techniques, to a decade by decade overview of the 20th century.
