Now in its third printing, and completely updated and revised in 2007, Around the Horn: A Trader's Guide To Consistently Scoring In The Markets is one of the most popular trading books available. This... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have been a fan of Dr. Manz' commentary on TradersWire Interactive for some time. After almost a year, I finally broke down and bought the book. Years of searching for the holy grail have been replaced almost overnight by a focus on simplicity. Dr. Manz pushes the reader to understand that charts of the recent past (footprints left by buyers and sellers) are the best way to predict the imminent future. We are all impressed with his highly profitable intraday trading plan, and Around the Horn: A Trader's Guide to Consistently Scoring in the Markets clearly shows how that plan is derived. This is a great book for any trader. The focus in a few words ... the market is complicated because we want it to be. Keep it simple. Watch price move, be alert to the patterns presented, and make a living trading the market.
A must read for serious traders.

In Around the Horn, Dr. Manz presents a clear, concise and conservative approach to stock trading. I have been a traditional investor for many years, and this book made the transition to intraday and swing trading very easy and disciplined. The actual patterns and qualifiers Dr. Manz uses to earn his living are presented to the reader in an easy-to-comprehend manner. The reader is left with a set of templates with which to assess the markets and individual stocks. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to sharpen their trading skills.
Best of the Best

Well... I can honestly say that I have read them all, and this is unequivocally the best trading resource I have ever run across. No hype, just the chart patterns that Manz uses to make money. Run his ideas forward in time, and they work like a charm.
This is a must read!

After 32 years in the investment world with the last five as a full time trader I thought I had read all the great works on trading, but along comes Dr. Manz' "Around the Horn." Dr. Manz' passion for trading as a profession and not a hobby is clearly evident in this to-the-point guide on trading. No 'fluff' or 'smoke and mirrors' in this excellent text on trading. He has clearly done substantial research on matching his own methodology (conservative) to his personal psychology for profitable trading and is willing to share it. Once he has laid out very specific ground rules he provides examples of actual trades from his personal journal to illustrate his trading strategies. If you are new to the trading profession or an old-timer this is a must-read in your quest to learn from the masters.
Stock Trading Demystified!

Just when most authors try to convince you of their market savvy by presenting the reader with a bewildering array of formulas and scenarios we can never replicate, along comes a book that presents stock trading for what it is, an interaction between price, volume and chart patterns. Adrian Manz pulls off the baseball analogy throughout the book & leaves the reader able to identify patterns and profit opportunities easily, particularly those of us who are big fans of the sport.Around the Horn was easy to follow and implement. Many of the ideas are brand new, while others are new takes on classic chart patterns.
