A metalworkers dream come true

Turn the clock back to the early 1500's. England was nothing in European politics. Henry the eighth (VIII) changed this. I speak as a machinist. Henry imported talented craftsmen from the continent. Martin VanRoyne, Erasmus Kirkener, who eventually trained the first English armorer, John Kelte. When NASA wanted to make an articulated spacesuit they asked the Tower Of London curators for permission to inspect Henry's armor. With all the latest technology these chunks of steel have not been surpassed. Buy the book!! Look at what these skilled craftsmen did with just hammers and wisdom!
