Early Russian Warriors

Your typical men-at-arms title, concise and well-researched text supported by numerous illustrations, including Angus McBride's standard quality plates.

A great Medieval Russian book

I loved this book it is one of the best Men-at-Arms series booksthey jam a lot of info in to it.I wish their books were longer thought.I guess theirs not much books about Medieval Russia.

Good cross-section of early Russia

This book included quite a few of the tribes that coexisted with Keivan Rus as well. I though the artwork is better than the average in the MAA series, with each plate incorporating its portraits into the whole scene. My only regret is that it is light on Alexander Nevsky and the Mongol invasions - just when Russian history starts to get interesting.
