Pillsbury Baptist Bible College opened its doors on the historic campus of the former Pillsbury Military Academy in Owatonna, Minnesota in the fall of 1957. It was owned and operated by the Minnesota Baptist Association of churches. Because of financial difficulties, the college ceased operation in December 2008. However, her worldwide influence lives on. This book captures the stories of hundreds of former Pillsbury students, faculty, staff, and board members as we tell of their lives after Pillsbury. Every Pillsbury student majored in Bible and trained for some aspect of vocational Christian service. However, as you will see by the stories on these pages, her graduates have had a variety of fascinating occupations and ministries. The title is taken from the Pillsbury College Hymn, written by the first resident President, Dr. Monroe Parker. "Arise, ye sons and daughters, Pillsbury warriors all! From jungles far away, from town and hamlet small come cries of souls sin-bound and doomed to endless woe. All your hearts with love aflame, arise and to them go!" Because Pillsbury graduates live and serve around the world, the "sun never sets" on the college's continuing impact. The authors are both Pillsbury graduates who later served on the faculty at their alma mater. Both also have graduate degrees from Minnesota State University (Mankato) and Robert has a Doctor of Ministry degree. Randy is a librarian at Liberty University and writes a weekly Facebook Flashback Friday post with a photo and a memory from Pillsbury, where many of these stories were originally told. Robert is a retired pastor, drama director, and professor who continues his passion for storytelling as a freelance author. We trust you enjoy reading about those whose lives were never the same after being a part of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College.
