Insights and Deepest Thoughts...An Inspired Principal Shares

Principals are constantly surrounded by people, yet isolation is the underlying experience. Susan Villani's "Are You Sure You're the Principal?" offers even the most veteran principal an opportunity to reflect on the professional and very personal experience of assuming a leadership position in a school. I applaud her for revealing her triumphs and deepest fears. She helped me uncover my own and strengthened my understanding of dynamics that have helped and hindered me as a principal. A great read! A different but pleasing read

This book brings a new and authentic voice to the educational publishing field. Ms. Villani is an adept "storyteller" of real experiences as a principal. No educational jargon in this thoughtful volume. A short book with a powerful message for administrators and aspiring administrators everywhere.

Reflective view of leadership issues of the principalship.

This is an engaging and endearing book about personal travails experienced as a principal for 21 years at the elementary level. The book is well written with inviting prose and sensitive portrayals. I recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in education, leadership issues and gender based issues.
