What do I say about a twenty-five year old book I've looked at a thousand times? The photos are crammed with incredible details about amazing places. Each time I see it I learn something new. Wish I could dive into the pages and live in this amazing, lost world of New York's 70s chic. I recently read in Architectural Digest that before Jackie O died she was planning to edit a new series of books for them. Apparently she owned two of their books which were auctioned off not long ago. These unnamed books were filled with many of Jackie's handwritten notes along the margins, and I'd be stunned if New York Interiors wasn't one of them. AD's editor Paige Rense wrote new series never got off the ground, and this is the world's loss. Imagine how incredible a decorating book edited by Jackie would have been.
