I Can Just Taste Them

This is a lovely story about a family of bears on an apple-picking day trip. The text has a nice rhyming rhythm that allows young children to pay attention and enjoy the story as much as older. We bought it last fall when my daughter was 15 months old - now she is 2 1/2 and it's still a favorite. There's a little blue bird that shows up on every page, too, so we enjoy looking for it. The bear family drives to the orchard, picks all day, enjoys a picnic lunch, drives home, and on the last page they are seen in their kitchen up to their sleeves in peels, flour, apples, and all the goodies they make with their pickings. A wonderful fall book, especially if your family goes apple picking or cooks with apples.
