It's all in those 'jeans'

The last thing Jalisha wanted to be was Camille, her trick-turning mother. But when she was forced into Camille's way of life at the young age of ten, Jalisha grew up believing that prostitution was the only way to make that money. Jessica Tilles is a phenomenal writer and as soon as I began reading this story I was hooked, immediately cheering for Jalisha and her sister Corine to beat the odds and NOT follow in Camille's stiletto steps. Though I longed for more of Camille's drama, I must say I enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who understands that the real world isn't always sugar and spice and everything nice. Once you read Jessica Tilles, you'll forever be a fan!

A story of triumph over circumstance

Author Jessica Tilles, has set the stage yet again for a buckle up thrill ride. This intense novel of two sisters who's love for each other was their strongest bond. 'APPLE TREE' is a story of triumph! Camille, Jalisha and Corine are unforgettable! As with her previous novels 'Anything Goes' & 'In My Sisters Corner',the author steals your attention and locks it down throughout the story. In the midst of all the storms that life can possibly throw your way there is hope! I look forward to all future works from this author and applaud your efforts. Anxiously awaiting the sequel to the first novel "Anything Goes". Much Respect, Linda Washington-Johnson, Jackson Mississippi Readers Club Reviewer

A MUST READ!!!

THE FIRST BOOK I READ BY THIS AUTHOR WAS "IN MY SISTERS' CORNER" AND I KNEW AFTER I READ THAT, THAT I WAS HOOKED ON THE AUTHOR AND THEN I PURCHASED "APPLE TREE" AND THEN HAD TO SPREAD THE WORD AS WELL AS THE BOOK. THIS BOOK TAKES YOU ON AN ADVENTURE OF TWO SISTERS AND A MOM WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR HERSELF AS WELL AS HER DAUGHTERS...THAT'S JUST TO SUM IT UP A LITTLE BUT THE BOOK IS REALLY GOOD AND YOU(READERS) WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK JESSIE, AFTER READING YOUR BOOKS MY SISTERS SAID YOU HAVE THEM HOOKED FOR LIFE. AS MARTIN WOULD SAY, YOU GO GIRL!!

COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN

I have read many books, but this book was RAW and REAL! Every chapter I was like: DAG! I CAN'T BELIVE IT! DAG! I enjoyed Jessica Tilles way of putting in both the expected (sisters helping each other) and the unexpected. There is one character that I HATED!!! You will discover who I am talking about. I think this story would make a good movie/soap opera. The main character has to overcome barriers in the world and within herself. If you are interested in the erotic -- there is plenty of material here for you to sink your teeth into! HOT HOT HOT. The action is on a par with ZANE!! Now, some of the erotica can be disturbing for the innocent and uninitiated. This book is about a young girl, but it is not a book for children.

BRAVO.....AGAIN...BUT WHO IS SUPRISED????

Once again, Jessica Tilles keeps you up all night reading this book! I was late for work trying to finish this book in one sitting! The pages kept turning and I kept on saying...OK after this page, I am going to turn the lights out..NOT! It is easy reading, keeps you intrigued, and is imaginative (whew I wish I had an imagination like that lol). How often do people identify with their mothers? A mother is the shaper of children...nations....a world. When I read this I was reminded of the poem: "A Child Lives As They Learn." You always hear "a chip off the ole block." Jessica captured this and Yes indeed although the "Apple Does Not Fall Far From the Tree," at least the fruits of Jalesha's labor do not go in vain. She always had a good heart and wanted better for herself and Corine. I am a sucker for happy endings and this was a great ending. True love prevails as well as the underlining theme of family does also. Great Job Jessica Tilles.... I also think it is so great that you cleverly give us a taste of your next book at the end of your current book. Whew..AM I GOING TO BE ABLE TO STAND THE "SWEET TASTE OF REVENGE?"
