This book is a great resource for any system admin, or especially those completing the certification tracks for Apple.
Expensive series but surely valuable

My one and only complaint is the cost of these version specific books. The next OS X will be out in just a few months, but here we are with a 10.4 specific book. And of course this book by itself doesn't do much: you need others in the same series to have a good overall picture. But: as I expect with Apple docs, these are very nice: good looking, well presented, excellent coverage. For a Windows admin needing to understand OS X, these would be perfect, and they also are aimed at specific Apple Certification courses, so someone planning to take those would also benefit. Be warned: there's plenty of detail left out. You need to do the exercises, you need to experiment, and you probably will need other resources too. But this (with the other Server oriented books in the seies) definitely is an excellent introduction and reference.
