No more Wingfoot

In 2005, 2006, and 2007 I used Wingfoots THRU-HIKERS HANDBOOK to hike over 1100 miles of the Appalachian Trail. It was the best guide available, but had not been maintained for accuracy and is no longer published. In May 2008, I used the APPALACHIAN PAGES to hike the trail in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I found the trail guide to be reasonabbly accurate. There was some potentially useful information missing (camp sites not listed, shelter conditions not listed, privy locations not listed). All in all though, pretty useful and accurate for the section we did. I hope the writers keep it up and expand the book. It has the potential to be the best Appalachian Trail guide available.

This is the Guide you need

If your hikeing the Appalachian Trail this year, this is the book for you. This book is very precise and and extremely informative. This book along with the Mapdanna's is all you need. Mapdeannas can be found at Campmor. Check them out.
