A note on an extra resource...

I want you to know straight away that I haven't read this book. I am only writing this to point out that if you cannot get hold of this book there is a short account of Robert Hussein's life in Ibn Warraq's book "Leaving Islam", pages 96-98.

from living in kuwait....

i will say i can definately see his book at work here. yes, he bashes islam, but he also bashes his Christian counter-parts back in the states too. the Truth comes from the heart, not pronouncing one's religion preference. his statements like it is a kuwaiti standard to come to work late is a fact, try and get something done here when stores are suppose to be open....not happening. i know it's not the states and i accept it's their country and their ways, but to see how the people act and to read his book...impossible not to question the kuwaiti government. and if kuwait practices religious freedom why does is it illegal to witness to a kuwaiti and you will not see a church building comparable to a mosque in placement or appearance.

Gripping story of one mans fight for religeous freedom .

Robert Husseins declaration of Christianity cost him his family, business, personhood and almost his life. The story of his battle with religeous and governmental powers, is very informative to those of us in the Western world. We need more books such as this.
