Enjoyable Read

I have just finished reading this book and must say I can't wait to read Amanda's sister, Candy and Damon's story. I was looking for some summer reading and liking Historical Romances, this one caught my eye. The authors research on the history of the Chiricahua Apaches was very interesting and made you feel like you were learning their ways of life right along with Amanda. I for one was glad to see that the main couple didn't just fall into being together without really learning of each other first. It took months of the learning and getting to know and respect each other and was very well written. I have added this author to my list of "must reads". I hope there is more of Amanda and Kayto's story in her next book also.

Romance with historical twist

This is a historical romance about the Chiricahua Tribe of the Apache Indians and a captive white girl's introduction into the 'life-way' of the Apaches. The historical information about the Chiricahua was interesting and seemed to be well researched. The history gave some insight into the 'why' behind tribal customs that were not understood by the Americans of that time period (1860's). Using Cochise as one of the 'larger than life' characters in the book gave some depth to the story line. This is not an academic work on the history of the Apache Indians. It is an enjoyable, relaxing read with a happy, if implausible ending. A sequel or another historical romance from this author would be welcomed.
