Opposites attract when Detective Joyce Riggs is paired with Native American activist Kyle Prescott. Joyce feels her biological clock ticking and hopes Kyle is just the man to help her work off some steam. Kyle never dates white women, but he may have to reconsider after spending time with Joyce. Will Joyce and Kyle be able to resolve their differences when the attraction between them starts to sizzle? Truthfully, I wouldn't have picked up this book if it hadn't been a spin-off from Sheri Whitefeathers' Silhouette Bombshell books. Having enjoyed ALWAYS LOOK TWICE, where Joyce and Kyle first appeared, and then seeing them as a couple in NEVER LOOK BACK, I had to read their story. APACHE NIGHTS falls in between the two Bombshell books chronologically but one does not have to read the Bombshell books to appreciate their story. In fact, one should note that APACHE NIGHTS is a very different story. While both of the Silhouette Bombshell books had a strong paranormal element, APACHE NIGHTS is strictly a contemporary romance. Sheri Whitefeather has written one very steamy romance. The attraction between Joyce and Kyle is instantaneous but neither wants to admit that they are having anything other than a quick fling. There are some sweet moments to balance out the hotter ones, making this a well done romance story. The resolution regarding their differences is handled a bit faster than what I expected, but overall APACHE NIGHTS is a very enjoyable, albeit quick, read. COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES

#2 FOLLOWING "ALWAYS LOOK TWICE" BOMBSHELL

We are now treated to the story of police woman Joyce Rigg's whose biological clock is like a time bomb. Bad Boy, Kyle Prescott, half-Apache combat trainer is approached by Joyce to help her destroy her desires for child and husband [which she does not explain to him]. Well he did have a code of not seducing a white woman and especially not a cop. Opp! they are now pushing 40 and running out of time. Not much of a plot - we meet Oliva again and her sister [third story coming up]- Kyle goes to Ian for a shake down on Joyce but does not get it. Again, more PMS than I want to know about - stories are becoming a great disappointment even with great characters. Ah well, sleazy broads seem to be the run of the mill. Read? debatable.
